What are abbreviations?
Abbreviations are shortened words that stand for things. People usually use abbreviations when typing, but there are still abbreviations that we use without typing. Like, “St.”, is an abbreviation for “street”, or months, like “Feb” is an abbreviation for February.
Now, what about those abbreviations when we type? Abbreviations are usually found in games because it can take some time to type what you are saying.
For example, I will say the sentence I did a second ago, but a way I would type it if I was in a game or in a rush.

Some abbreviations are just ways to type faster and don’t replace words as I did.
Like instead of “are” I actually just typed the letter “r” because it sounds the same. But there are still abbreviations like “idk”, which means “I don’t know”, or “ig” which means “I guess”.
Now there are faces. I mean emojis but not emojis. People will sometimes make “faces” without using emojis.

Recognize any of these? It’s ok if you don't because they can be hard to make out. If you tilt your head to the left, do you see it? Now, sometimes when ppl {people} make these “faces”, you don’t have 2 {to} tilt ur {your} head.
